Cosmodemonia

You are invited to participate with your senses, entering a state of active listening—a mindset that fluctuates between fleeting moments of everyday life and an eternal, spaceless existence within the cosmos.

A kitchen of a bustling restaurant, walking across a large parking lot, a summer morning, waiting at the bus station, floating among planetary satellites, experiencing weightless stasis in outer space, moving fearlessly towards a burning star at the speed of light.

All sound in this performance is created through Ephemeron, an adaptive, non-linear feedback network. Ephemeron acts as an ‘intelligent’ instrument that continuously reacts to actions and gestures, analyzing the perceptual features of sound in real-time. As a listener-performer, your active listening engagement with these sounds directly shapes the construction of your sonic landscape.

Cosmodemonia

This verse -audio room-features Cosmodemonia, presented using the composer’s original 8-speaker distribution designed specifically for this piece. As you move through the virtual space and approach any of the speakers, the sound dynamically responds to your proximity, offering an immersive listening experience. For the best results, we strongly recommend using headphones.
